Planning a wedding in another country sounded so overwhelming and intimidating so it was important for us to work with someone with experience not only in wedding planning, but wedding planning in Mexico City. Karla was born in Mexico City and knows the city inside and out. Through her many years of wedding and event planning, she’s also built and cultivated countless relationships in the industry. These strong relationships were evident throughout our entire wedding planning process- Karla is a respected, very well liked professional in this industry.
Karla was always honest with feedback and ideas, listened to our vision, and sent recommendations for top notch vendors she trusted and vetted herself. She also advocated for us and our vision every time we met with a vendor. I’m forever indebted to her for connecting us to the most incredible florists in Mexico- our guests still can’t stop talking about our floral arrangements! Throughout all the planning for our 3 day wedding weekend, Karla and her team- Becky, Mel, Flor- worked incredibly hard, they navigated every request we had- no matter how unique, big, small, or last minute, and they did such an amazing job. They remained attentive to every question, concern, and request we had throughout the entire process. For example, because mariachi is a male dominated music genre, I wanted to have an all female mariachi band at our welcome dinner. They are slowly growing in popularity but still not very common. I knew it wouldn’t be an easy request to explore but, without hesitation, Karla sent me multiple options accompanied by examples of their music so I could choose the one I liked most. Both of us can be very particular when it comes to what we want, planning, and staying organized. Karla and her team were nothing but patient, professional, and always thinking 2 steps ahead. For example, during our cocktail hour, we decided to move dinner to an earlier time which could have easily resulted in issues, especially when there’s a lot of coordination required for so many people- 130 guests, waiters, cook staff, bartenders, and more. However, Karla and her team made sure everything was communicated and executed smoothly. Everyone started and finished dinner at the same time and our guests were raving about the food and service. We were so impressed. Our welcome dinner was beyond what we envisioned to kick off our wedding weekend. The next day for our wedding reception, I cried when I walked into Prim. Our guests told us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to- beautiful and flawlessly executed all weekend. It was better than anything I could have dreamed of and none of it would have been possible without Karla and her team.

My wife and I worked with Karla and her team for our destination wedding. We are based in the Washington, DC area and had selected a venue in a city that we had never been to before — San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
From start to finish, several things stood out about Karla and her phenomenal team — they were very attentive, communicative and genuinely cared. They ensured everything was on track with the wedding, including both big and small items. Each time a payment was needed, they were on top of reminding us to ensure it was sent on time. Our communication was mostly through video call check ins, email, and WhatsApp, and they always replied extremely quickly. When we made requests, they always followed up on it. We trusted that once we communicated something to them, they would get it done. They did an excellent job of ensuring we had amazing vendors. Each and every one of our vendors did an incredible job — Zumo, Carito Photography, Ophelia Floral, Nex DJs, Cordelia Furniture, and others. The end result of all of this? A wedding that my wife and I will remember forever. Our wedding weekend was perfect and each of our guests echoed that sentiment as well. Even after being faced with unexpected rain on the day of, our team of planners were able to ensure everything went smoothly after the rain resided and were in constant communication with us regarding contingency plans. We are eternally grateful to this wonderful team for making our wedding day, the best day of our lives.

Our wedding was truly incredible and surpassed our wildest dreams, and it's all due to the KA team. Planning a destination wedding in CDMX from California required a planning team that we had complete trust in, and Karla, Mel and Flor were just that. We knew that every vendor recommendation they sent our way was trusted and vetted, and they helped us pull together a true dream team to bring everything to life with incredible food, gorgeous florals, a bucket list venue, bangin' DJ, dream photographer and so much more.
When asked to describe our wedding day, "perfection" and "pure magic" are the two things that immediately come to mind. So many of our guests have told us it was the best wedding ever, and we owe it all to Karla and her team. The whole day was flawless, even with having to move the whole ceremony due to a thunderstorm at the 11th hour, and they never missed a beat! I cannot say enough good things about Karla, Flor and the entire team. Planning a destination wedding in under 9 months was not an easy feat but Karla brought it all to life impeccably and made it the best weekend ever. From touring and sending us videos of all the potential venues to placing payments to secure vendors in the final weeks, she made us feel taken care of, start to finish. Thanks to Karla and her team's professionalism and calm demeanor, we were able to enjoy the entire weekend stress free. There were many logistics that went into our three events, especially catering and transporting 100 guests to Xochimilco, but they handled it all stress free and it was such a memorable and unique day for us and our guests. Everything ran smoothly all weekend and it was truly magical - we had several guests say it was the best wedding they have ever attended and we could not have done it without Karla!
